From a young age this Dutch fashion designer had a passion for fashion, dressing up, costumes and dancing. She started studying fashion at the Academy of Arts in Arnhem but discovered the world of show and glamour when she joined an international group of dancers. After those years she completed her studies in fashion and worked as a designer for different fashion labels. She gained experience in design, development, production and sales. She now resids most of the year on Ibiza where she sells her collections at prestigious shops.
The collection of Astrid Elisee offers a mix of ‘urbanchic’ and ‘aftersix’, all made from the finest silk. Her pieces are designed for women the world over. To her it’s important that a garment looks good on you and have less to do with the battle cry of the season. She believes in timeless, durable pieces of good sustainable quality that can be worn again and again. Key pieces that can be combined, in this way perfect for any occasion.
Astrid Elisee chose to work with a small company in Hong Kong owned and run by women taking care of good working conditions.She is now working on a new signature pieces made of peace (vegetable) silk.
